Falun/Hälsinggården, STF Hostel

Hostel | The hostel is housed in three buildings in the peaceful area of Hälsinggården, 3 km east of the town centre and conveniently close to nature. We serve a breakfast buffet and have a large barbecue in a covered arbour, perfect for meals during the summer.

The hostel is well-suited as a base for outings in Falun and its surroundings. There are many interesting tourist attractions in the vicinity, including the World Heritage site at Falun Mine, Sundborn and its Carl Larsson garden, the baroque garden at Gamla Staberg, Lugnet with its national centre for skiing, the Dalarna Museum, Ornässtugan and Torsång with its motor museum, and the oldest church in Dalecalia.

If you are looking for activity, there are ample opportunities close by. Lugnet sports centre has most types of sporting activity. During the winter we can offer cross-country skiing, tour skating on the Runn lake and alpine skiing at Bjursås. And then in the summer you can swim, canoe, cycle and ramble in the forests.
